I had a system very similar to this about 15 years ago. I know for a fact that this type of acne treatment works. I loved it and was heartbroken when I left it in a hotel room after taking it on a trip. I'm so glad to have found a replacement!

How does Dermatron work?The Dermatron is a unique device that produces a micro-current which is transmitted through the tip of the hand-held probe when it is placed in contact with the skin. This current actually passes through the body via a conductive circuit which goes from the tip of the probe back to the silver contacts on the side of the probe.
This micro-current is very small and completely harmless. It does however stimulate healing in a number of ways.
- Micro-current helps destroy bacteria under the surface of the skin, which causes infection associated with acne.
- Micro-current reduces inflammation and swelling, speeding up the healing process in the infected area.
- Micro-current directly stimulates individual cell activity, encouraging them to reproduce new cells more quickly, as well as producing more natural proteins such as collagen. This process helps re-build damaged skin.
- Micro-current increases blood flow to the affected area, which in turn generates extra oxygen to the cells and removes harmful waste product which can cause infection.
